Food doesn’t get purer or fresher than this. Back to the Garden grows their own organic fruit and vegetables, which are harvested and delivered daily to the Farm Shop, a large 18th Century restored barn situated beside the A148 in Letheringsett only four miles from the farm.
No chemical fertilisers, herbicides or insecticides are used on the Farm, and this non-intensive production extends to the meat, poultry and eggs. No antibiotics or growth promoters are used on the cattle and sheep (born on the Back to the Garden land) and all poultry is organic and free to roam. Their own grass-fed organic beef is matured for 21 days and sold in the Butchery.
In addition to the Farm’s own produce, Back to the Garden carefully selects other high quality organic and artisan foods from sustainable sources. Among the shelves and counters of foodie temptation, you‘ll find organic meat, organic chocolate, beers by local brewers, pickles and jams, organic wine, cheeses, fresh bread and pastries. There are green household and personal care products, and even natural products for your dog!
Back to the Garden also stocks plenty of diet-busting sweet goodies, including organic, locally made chocolates and homemade pastries and cakes.
Obviously, there is a pronounced emphasis on the organic and locally produced at Back to the Garden. However, this is not the extent of the Farm Shop’s philosophy. Describing themselves as offering a ‘realistic, but locally based alternative to supermarket shopping’, ultimately, everything in the shop has to be of the highest standard and taste really good. Together, these features make for a forward-thinking food-lovers dream-shopping destination.

Recently opened Lily B is our kind of ladies fashion boutique. For, not only does it have a bona fide boutique feel inside, along with some really gorgeous clothes and accessories, it is also extremely purse-friendly, with the average price per item being less than £40, and often around the £25-35 mark.
Lively and friendly, Lily B is very welcoming. You can browse at your leisure, or take advantage of the helpful, experienced staff. This is boutique fashion retail with the snobbery removed, but all the good stuff retained. Wonderfully refreshing.
Inside the pretty, petite shop that is right in the centre of Cromer, you’ll find a broad range of fashions, including French and Italian fashion lines, from the edgy and trendy to styles for the more mature lady. There are also accessories like scarves, belts and handbags. The unifying theme is that everything is carefully chosen, high quality and affordable.

A business run by family and friends, Norfolk Home & Garden is passionate about quality and being able to offer accessories and gifts that are ‘just that little bit different’. Inside, you’ll find a wide selection of stoneware pottery for the kitchen and dining table, ranging from the very functional to the highly decorative. You’ll also find a few one off ornamental pieces. Not only beautiful to look at, the pots, plates and bowls produced here are ovenproof and dishwasher safe. No wonder then, that restaurants in London, Dublin, Paris and Amsterdam use tableware by Made in Cley. Bowls from Made In Cley have been spotted on Simon Hopkinson’s ‘The Good Cook’, shown on BBC1.
In addition to functional pottery, there is an inspiring range of sculptural and decorative ceramics to admire and buy, including tile panels and garden pots.

Found in the historic Market Town of Aylsham, Black Sheep is a fabulous shop selling Men’s and Women’s clothing, accessories and footwear. Stylish, original and of the highest quality, Black Sheep’s varied selection covers everything from nightshirts (yes, the authentic, old-fashioned variety, which I am informed are incredibly popular and comfortable) to outdoor wear designed to compliment and withstand an active lifestyle.
The name ‘Black Sheep’ refers to the own-brand jumpers, jerseys and accessories handmade locally from speciality black, dark and light grey wools. Pure, natural and oiled, these are derived from the Ingworth and Blickling Welsh Mountain Flocks, found here in Norfolk. As well as this lovely knitwear, Black Sheep also stocks beloved and designer brands such as Weird Fish, Mat de Misaine and Keen footwear (hard to find in England, but purported to be one of the best outdoor footwear brands to be found).
