Renovated in 2007, The Lawns is a wonderful hotel and wine bar situated in an impressive Georgian house in the centre of the charming North Norfolk town of Holt. Ideal for enjoying Holt itself, the hotel is also perfectly placed as a base from which to explore the wider area, including the beautiful North Norfolk coast.
All eight bedrooms are en-suite with baths and feature views of the gardens or Greshams School playing fields. Each spacious room is styled to a high quality and has its own individual charms, including a vaulted beamed ceiling in Rooms 7 and 8, as well as additional luxuries throughout (flat screen televisions and delicious, locally crafted toiletries, for example).
The Lawns has been awarded 4 AA Stars, confirming its high quality and attention to detail.
For dining, The Lawns is more than equipped to provide delicious meals throughout the day (having an AA Rosette award for food). You can choose to eat in the elegant dining room, the open plan bar area (complete with plush sofas), or in the garden, patio or conservatory if the weather is nice.
For drinkers, The Lawns boasts a large and impressively well-stocked bar. The wine list is vast and varied, but you can also find several local brews, soft drinks and coffee.
The Lawns has ample secure parking.
Children with well-behaved Parents are welcome. No pets though.
Rooms are around £100 per night, including a full English breakfast.
