Established in Ringstead in 1974, The Ringstead Gallery moved to Burnham Market in August 2007. Originally set up by Don and Margaret Greer, and now largely in the capable hands of their son, Nick, the gallery is very much a family-run endeavor.
The Gallery’s location in the bustling North Norfolk village of Burnham Market is perfect for showcasing the talents of local, national and international artists. Housed in a pretty red-bricked cottage on the corner of The Green, it provides a deceptively modern and airy space that benefits from sensitive, exceptional lighting (both natural and otherwise) throughout.
As well as regularly changing exhibitions of paintings, sculpture and fine turned wood, the gallery aims to seek out and showcase new and up-and-coming artists. Fresh ‘discoveries’ can often be found in the mixed exhibitions, making The Ringstead Gallery an essential destination to discover new and exciting pieces of art by emerging talent.
Annual and regular exhibitors at the gallery include Jeremy Barlow (Paintings from Provence, Italy and North Norfolk),
Lawrie Williamson (Evocative “Genre” paintings),
Neil Cox (Wildlife of the British Isles), Dharbinder S. Bamrah (The wildlife of Africa, India and North America) and Richard Chapman (Fine Turned Wood).
Open Mon-Sat 10am-5pm (Sun 11am-4pm during one man exhibitions). Entry to the gallery is free.
