Established in the 1880s, the shop now boasts over 1000 wines and spirits from all over the world, including over 40 single malt whiskies. Tradition still thrives at Satchells, from the elegant building that once doubled as an Ironmonger’s to the warm and friendly welcome that you are always assured upon entering. However, the shop is also bang up to date in its collection of wines and complementary accessories, which include corkscrews, cigars and a delicious range of foodstuffs.
Owner Max Graham-Wood is happy to advise you on choosing the perfect bottle for your tastes and requirements and also offers tutored tastings for private and corporate events, informal tastings and lectures.
For parties, entertaining and functions, Satchells provides free glass loan, a sale or return facility, ice and a free local delivery service.
Satchells can also be called upon for valuations and cellar clearances.
