Named after George III, The King’s Head is situated on the High Street in the centre of the charming market town of Holt. The interior of the historical building has been sympathetically preserved, giving a warm and inviting atmosphere that is faithful to the ambience of a traditional hostelry.
The King’s Head has four eating areas, including the Maria Fitzherbert room, the Garden Room Restaurant and a lovely paved courtyard for warmer days. The bar is bright and open with a wood burning stove for colder days, and one area even allows dogs to accompany their owners.
Food is served throughout the day and is traditional in its essence with a twist of the unusual often included to add a unique level of interest. A changing monthly menu compliments the staple menu and specials on offer. There is plenty to choose from for Vegetarians and special diets can be catered for on request.
A wide selection of wines, real ales and beers as well as coffee, some mouth-watering desserts and the friendly, helpful staff will see you while away the hours without even realising it in this family-run free house and restaurant.
Children are welcome and The King’s Head has disabled access.
Open all day, seven days a week.
