Inside the décor is sympathetic to the historical building in which the pub is housed, with period colours and features being used throughout to give a comfortable, traditional feel. The pub is divided several sections, including a conservatory and garden restaurant, an inside restaurant and two bar areas. One area allows dogs to accompany their owners, and the whole pub is children friendly. There is also ample disabled access. For drinkers, there is a lovely rustic beer garden for warmer weather and a bright open bar with a wood burning stove for colder days and nights.

The Kings Head has a regular menu that includes specials as well as a menu that changes on a monthly basis. The homemade food is wholesome and essentially traditional in style, though you will find some more unusual flavours appearing from time to time. Being situated so near to the North Norfolk coast, fish and seafood is often prominent with dishes such as Coriander and Ginger Crab Cakes and Lemon Fin Sole. Vegetarians are also well catered for with a variety of mouth-watering options to choose from across the three menus. The meals are reasonably priced, with main courses averaging around £8. Starters, light meals and a tempting selection of puddings ensure that you will be well and truly satisfied no matter how hungry you are.
