The Wiveton Bell - just a stone’s throw from Blakeney in North Norfolk - has a strong reputation for fine food and also some rather special Bed and Breakfast accommodation. It is also proud to be a smart yet traditional drinking inn, where you can while away summer afternoons or enjoy post-beach or lunchtime refreshment.
A Free House serving three locally-produced real ales (Adnams Broadside, Woodfordes Wherry and Peter Yetman’s Holt beer), premium draught lager and a carefully chosen selection of wines, this 18th Century village pub is a perfect bolthole in the winter with a real fire glowing in the Inglenook. It is equally inviting during warmer months, benefiting from a lovely outside garden to the rear and benches at the front that overlook the green (ideal if you happen to have kids - they can expend any remaining energy playing football or Frisbee on the green while you kick back and unwind with something cold). Jugs of Pimms, candlelight and large cushions outside throughout the summer will serve to entice you further into some alfresco drinking and dining at The Bell.
This summer, The Bell will see new garden furniture including low, lounge-style seats and chimineas and access to the bar from the outside (so you don’t even have to walk through the pub) - prefect for relaxing, gossiping and generally soaking up the ambience of the warmest season.
Open Mid-Sept - April 12noon and then again at 5pm.
Open May - Mid-Sept 12noon - Close (last drinks orders taken at 11pm Mon-Sat, 10.30pm Sun).
Food is served 12noon-2.15pm and 6pm-8.30pm.
