Easy to find on the ancient Peddar’s Way opposite the church in the charming North Norfolk village of Thornham, The Orange Tree offers a delightful experience in dining, drinking and sleeping.

 

Thornham itself is an ideal base for exploring the locale, and The Orange Tree is only a stroll away from Thornham Harbour, the unspoilt beach beyond and Holme Dunes National Nature Reserve. All the other wonderful attractions, gorgeous villages and coastal paths that are only a short drive away.

 

 

A former traditional country pub (you can still see the sign for its previous name, The Kings Head), The Orange Tree has been sympathetically and stylishly refurbished into a quality, contemporary restaurant and bar with a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere.

 

 

Customer Experience Regional Winner of the Shine Awards 2006, The Orange Tree believes very much in accommodating the customer and as such, choice is high priority. With a classic and tasty bar menu alongside a seasonally changing menu, and options for children and vegetarians, the emphasis is on fresh, local produce of the highest quality. You can select your food from either menu, or across both, and take it in various different areas of The Orange Tree, depending on your mood. The bar is relaxed and informal, perfect for lunch or for a meeting with friends; the restaurant is elegant and ideal for a romantic meal for two or a special celebration. There are also two large outside beer gardens for warmer days.

 

 

The Orange Tree offers an ample selection of wine to compliment your meal, both by the bottle and by the glass, while the usual host of good brews are available behind the bar.

 

 

If you don’t fancy driving home after your meal, or if you’re looking to make a real break of it, The Orange Tree offers bed and breakfast accommodation in a courtyard annexe adjacent to the main building. Of minimalist ‘Chalet’ character and recently revamped, all have en-suite faculties. Five double rooms are available and one twin or family room, which is fully equipped for disabled guests.

 

 

If you’d like to experience The Orange Tree for yourself, you’ll have plenty of justification to do so in the coming months;

Throughout October and November a double B&B room at The Orange Tree is only £90 for two nights (per room, not per person) Sun-Thur and £105 for Fri and Sat.

Tuesday night (from 2nd October) will be Curry Night, with a special curry menu available alongside the regular bar menu.

The Orange Tree is also offering an exclusive menu for Christmas parties (the Orange Tree restaurant is available for hire for functions and parties), a fabulous Christmas Day lunch at £75 per head and a superb New Years Eve event, which for £75 per person includes champagne upon arrival and to toast in the new year, posh canapés and finger food and live entertainment by Alix Mills, an established female vocalist who will be singing songs from the 60’s to the present day.
