As Spring becomes Summer in North Norfolk, the region really starts to become alive. Visitors flock to our sweeping Coastline to escape the madding urban crowds and sample our excellent local produce, dusty bridleways, winding country roads and of course, seashore delights.
While the beauty of winter in North Norfolk may be borne from the solitude on an open, near-empty Holkham Beach or the ability to park in Burnham Market (a rarity once Summer arrives), the bustling summer months are equally lovely. Children in seasonal brights crabbing from Wells Quay and running barefoot with youthful abandon along sandy stretches, business attired swapped for deck shoes and T-shirts and long, lovely lunches sitting outside watching the world go by. Sounds too idyllic to be true? That’s exactly why so many visitors come here each summer. Whether you want traditional penny-dropping arcade fun before a portion of divinely salty seafront chips or a browse round a bijou boutique before a luscious lunch at one of the Country’s nicest hotels, North Norfolk has it all.

May 21st-23rd is the first Cromer and Sheringham Crab and Lobster Festival, which hopes to celebrate all aspects of these wonderful seaside towns while raising money for the local RNLI stations and Help for Heroes. See how our featured B&B, new boutique stay, Montague House, are getting involved…

Another highlight events-wise this season include the Norfolk Open Studios (22nd May – 6th June). Part of the Norfolk & Norwich Festival, several local artists invite you to enter their personal creative hub to get a better insight into what inspires them. This is always an excellent opportunity to speak with up-and-coming and established artists and snap up some lovely new wall candy in the process.
